(WOC Seminar 1736) NEEDED - "All In" Influential Men Champions for D&I (Presented by Consumers Energy)
Learning Objective: Examine how adding influential decision makers to D&I initiatives can lead to success.
Diversity and inclusion initiatives need to have "all hands-on-deck" to be successful, and this includes the company's upper level influential allies. Many organizational enterprises have unintentionally excluded some upper level males, which has distanced their support for these programs. This is unfortunate considering these men hold influential power positions as decision-makers. The best way to create a successful program and capitalize on their influence is to provide them with a meaningful role and purpose in the diversity initiative. Their input and influence can help create opportunities for adjusting of D&I policies and successful acceptance of these programs.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the root cause for non-engagement of influential men? Is it a lack of knowledge or a lack of desire to make meaningful change?
- Discuss the importance of having influential decision-making men engaged in D&I programs.
- Identify action steps for inspiring higher-level men to become D&I Champions.
